- Act of God coverage at no cost. We provide
Act of God coverage on most contracts at no cost and
consider it to be an important part of protecting and supporting
our growers.
- Premium prices and oil yield bonuses. In
2008, our growers received significant premiums over the current
price paid for NuSun sunflowers. Our growers enjoy premium
prices plus a 2-for-1 percentage premium for oil yields that
exceed contracted amounts.
- Guaranteed purchase of your entire production. We
don't set a limit on the number of pounds purchased; we will
purchase your entire yield from all contracted acreage.
- Option to lock in prices before or after harvest. If
you choose, you can lock in a price for your crop as much
as a year before harvest. This option, combined with
our no-fee Act of God coverage, provides exceptional price
security and tangible collateral you can use with financing
providers.

Here's
how to become a Technology Crops Grower:
1. Enroll in our database.
If you are interested in contracting with us, it's
important that we have your information in our database.
To do so, call us at 877-780-5882 in the US or complete
and submit our inquiry form. Enrolling in our
database ensures you are the first to know about the specifics
of our contracts and the dates and locations of sign-up meetings.
It also ensures you receive important news and information
about our premium specialty crops.
2. Contract directly with
us.
Grower contracts are only available directly from
us. We will have regional grower sign-up meetings where
we'll disclose final contract details and answer your questions. Growers
in our database will receive information on these meetings
via direct mail.
3. Purchase seed from us or the dealer of your choice
(ONLY after you've signed a contract).
Some of Technology Crop International's crop purchase
contracts require the grower to purchase seed directly from
us, but others also allow the option of purchasing seed from
one of our approved seed dealers. Note that our contracts
are linked to certain seed varieties, so it's important that
you only purchase seed once you have a contract
with us. Not all high oleic sunflower or high erucic rapeseed varieties will meet our needs and we can only guarantee
contracts to growers once a contract is signed. (As with
all our specialty crops, we strongly discourage growers from
producing speculatively, because excess supply can lead to
falling prices and premiums, as well as exposing growers
to the risks of limited marketing options.) All borage, cuphea seed, calendula, meadowfoam, crambe and high erucic acid rapeseed will only be available from us.
4. We'll work with you every step of the way.
When you contract with Technology Crops International,
you contract with a partner who will work with you every
step of the way. Our field representatives and our home office
staff are here to answer your questions promptly and get
you the information you need. And when it comes time to deliver
to crush, we'll even work with you to ensure optimal delivery
times.
